Training practice information
We are a long established GP training practice with trainee GP's working within the team.
A "trainee GP," also known as a GP registrar or GP specialty trainee, is a fully qualified doctor who is undergoing specialized training to become a general practitioner (GP) in the UK, typically after completing at least 2 years of hospital-based training.
Trainees are assessed throughout their training through workplace-based assessments, simulated consultation assessments, and the Applied Knowledge Test (AKT).
A GP trainer is an experienced General Practitioner (GP) who provides clinical and educational supervision to GP trainees (also known as registrars) during their training program. They oversee the trainees' development, offer guidance, and assess their progress throughout the training period.
Drs Cox and Sockalingam are the GP trainers in our the practice.
Dr Panesar is currently undertaking specific GP trainer training to meet the requirements set by the local deanery.
